Beschreibung

New and advanced materials are included as strategic priorities in smart specialisation strategies (RIS3) across Europe, as their potential to impact on the structure, direction and competitiveness of European manufacturing systems has been widely recognised. Regions now have the opportunity to use the RIS3 Mid-Term Review to strengthen and specify this strategic priority, ensuring that their strategies have an even greater impact on territorial competitively and growth.

This Interregional Workshop is organised by NMP REG, a project co-funded by the Interreg Europe programme. NMP-REG helps partners to define policies that can support technology transfer of nanotechnologies and advanced materials to regional manufacturing systems.

The workshop, taking place in Leuven, Belgium on 24th January 2018, brings together regional authorities and stakeholders working in the field of new and advanced materials, and is hence, a unique chance to learn about other regions’ activities within the Mid-Term Review, about their visions for material application in regional manufacturing and about the potential for interregional cooperation in this field.

The event is an open working session and is primarily aimed at policy makers and stakeholders involved in advanced materials and nano tech in relation to RIS3, who wish to exchange ideas, challenges and experiences with other regional representatives.
