Senior scientist in the field of Materials Science and Engineering and is leading the Functional Coatings Group at the Institute of Materials Research of German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cologne/Germany. Current research fields are in the functional nano-structured thin films for gas sensing and energy storage systems and the catalytic materials for various energy applications. Authored/co-authored presently 125 papers, published 1 book and is in hold of 10 patents.
